Speedclad Fundraising Plans 2018

Speedclad staff have nominated the charities that they would like the company to fundraise for in 2018 and an exciting schedule of activities is starting to take shape!

Following a successful year of fundraising in 2017 for Macmillan Cancer Support, we've decided to split our fundraising in 2018 between one national charity, Cancer Research UK, nominated by all our staff at our Staff Conference in January, and local charities chosen by staff in our different office locations. Our team at our Divisional Office in Doncaster has selected to raise money for Hallam FM Cash for Kids under their '500 Faces' initiative, aiming to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people across South Yorkshire. The team at our Regional Office in Birmingham has chosen Autism West Midlands as their local charity, enriching the lives of those living with autism and those who care for them. At our Head Office in Northallerton, staff have nominated two local charities - Zoe's Place Baby Hospice in Middesbrough, providing care to babies and infants suffering from life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, and Bloodrun EVS, a voluntary blood bike service providing urgent out of hours courier services for North East NHS hospitals and Trusts.

Charities 2018

Our fundraising kicked off over Easter, with our Doncaster Office raising money from an Easter Egg Raffle for their local charity and our Head Office staff taking on the Smarties Challenge for Zoe's Place. We also have a team signed up and ready for the Cancer Research UK Race for Life in early June - please click our team neam to sponsor team members - Scrambled Leggs - and a large group of staff across all offices and departments have signed up to the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge (24 miles including 1585m of ascent!) in September, again to support Cancer Research UK.

A huge thank you to our staff for choosing our charities and jumping on board with fundraising activities - we'll keep you posted through the year!
