Speedclad achives certification to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015
Speedclad has achieved UKAS certification to the new revisions of these international standards for quality and environmental management.
Following a two-stage comprehensive on-site assessment by UKAS assessment body Exova BM Trada, Speedclad's integrated management system was confirmed as meeting the tough requirements of both ISO standards and with zero findings raised.
ISO 9001, for quality management, is the world's most widely recognised standard and assists businesses in increasing efficiency and effectiveness and ensuring continual improvement. ISO 14001 is the world's first international standard for environmental management and enables businesses to reduce their environmental impact while ensuring sustainable success. Speedclad was already operating an integrated management system designed to meet the requirements of these standards and took a conscious decision to postpone external assessment until the 2015 revisions were published, as these presented a more contemporary and sustainable framework for business improvement. As such, Speedclad is among the first tranche of SME's that has achieved certification to the 2015 versions.
Speedclad's Construction Director, Paul Dingle, commented: "This is a very proud moment for Speedclad as these certifications really demonstrate our commitment to best practice and continual improvement. They show that we are a forward-thinking, professional and motivated company. I'm delighted for all the team as everyone has contributed their ideas and innovation into the development of our integrated management system; making it a system that works first and foremost for the business and those using it, whilst at the same time meeting the high standards of our clients, regulators and others."
These latest certifications are added to Speedclad's exisiting accreditations with Achilles Building Confidence and Constructionline.
