Project Award: Rushden Lakes Phase Two, Northamptonshire
Speedclad has secured the contract for design, supply and installation of curtain walling and glazing on the next phase of this exciting retail, leisure and tourism destination in the Nene Valley.
Following the successful completion of the curtain walling and glazing contract on the initial phase of Rushden Lakes, key client Winvic Construction has awarded Speedclad repeat business for works on the next highly-anticipated phase of this £140 million scheme.
Phase Two consists of the East Terrace comprising 5 additional retail units for well-known brands, plus the large-scale West Terrace leisure development. The West Terrace will house a 48,000 sq.ft Cineworld plus other leisure facilities such as 360 Soft Play, along with 10 additional restaurants. The East Terrace is expected to open by the end of summer 2018, with the West Terrace following at the end of 2019, in time for the next Star Wars movie.
Speedclad's contract for Phase Two comprises the design, supply and installation of curtain walling from APA Systems, as well as manual and automatic doors and bi-folding doors to the external and internal screens.
