HMRC's new regional hub is taking shape in Leeds
The façade on buildings 7&8 Wellington Place is moving at a pace and starting to really show the form and scale of this impressive development in Leeds city centre.
Speedclad is in the construction phase of its design, supply and installation contract with Wates Construction for the new regional hub of HMRC. Our contract includes the natural stone rainscreen system, including all the parapet cladding, plus 18,000m2 of curtain walling including the glazing of 3 substantially impressive atriums, external doors to ground and roof levels, louvres, rooflights and 4 automatic circle doors to the main entrances, along with all associated items.
7&8 Wellington Place will provide 378,000 sq.ft of Grade A office space and is the biggest ever office pre-let on record in Leeds and a major economic boost for the city. Scheduled to open in 2020, the 6000 civil servants set to occupy 7&8 Wellington Place will be joining a thriving business community on one of the largest and most prestigious city centre quarters in Europe.
