Fantastic totals for Speedclad's fundraising drive in 2018
Speedclad ended 2018 with amazing totals from its fundraising activities, with over £6,000 raised throughout the year for worthwhile causes, and having had a lot of fun in the process!
At the start of 2018, Speedclad staff nominated the charities that they wanted to fundraise for that year. These included one national charity, Cancer Research UK, and local charity Zoe's Place Baby Hospice in Middlesbrough, as well as the Hallam FM Cash for Kids Appeal.
Throughout the year staff took part in and supported various fundraising activities and we're delighted to announce that we raised a total £4,842 for our nominated charities, plus an additional £1,360 for our Clients' charities.
Our fundraisers were varied and intended to enable everyone to participate in one form or another. We ran smaller activities at our office premises, such as the Smarties Challenge, World Cup Sweepstakes and Easter Egg Raffles, as well as having spare change tins around our workplaces. In addition, staff took part in Race for Life in Leeds, Tough Mudder in Skipton and hiked the Yorkshire Three Peaks. It was a great mix of simple, fun events and demanding challenges which our staff, whether participating or supporting, enthusiastically committed to. We'd like to say a huge THANK YOU to all who donated/ ran/ hiked/ scrambled/ cheered on and dug deep.
At our Staff Conference at the start of 2019 we decided that for this year we would put all the money we raise in 2019 into a single pot and, at the end of the year, divide this between just local charities, nominated by our staff. We're looking forward to another year of putting the fun into fundraising!
